What is ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance)

Sustainable finance (ESG) is one of the most important measures for sustainable development. Sustainable finance implies taking ESG factors into account when making investment decisions. ESG factors are divided into 3 groups:

  • environmental
  • social
  • corporate governance.

If you want to invest in financial instruments that take into account sustainability factors, see the ESG rating of issuers whose financial instruments are listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

We use NOTORIA SA ratings on a five-grade rating scale: A, B, C, D, E.
A is the highest grade, and E is the lowest.

We assume that instruments issued by companies that have a rating of C or higher are instruments that take into account sustainability factors.
We treat financial instruments issued by the following companies as instruments that do not take into account sustainability factors:

  • with a rating lower than C (i.e. D, E), and
  • companies that have not been assigned a rating.
